This house was built by my husbands Family. His father was brought up here.

Am I right that this was formerly the Police Training establishment where I received my basic training in 1967? If it is, then at the time we were led to believe that Canadial troops had been billeted there during WWII.

No the Police Training establishment was on Coopers Hill Road round the corner.

I worked at this property in the 50's when it was known as Adastral House (probably because the then owner was a pilot in the RAF). It was a beautiful building in magnificent grounds and the photographs show that it has been tastefully restored to its former glory. I would love the opportunity to visit it again but as I am in my early 80's and no longer drive, this is unlikely.
